Engaging Families: A Relationship-Centered Approach

Families and parenting adults are vital to young people's learning and development. Yet it can be challenging to engage them meaningfully, particularly as their children enter middle and high school. • Understand 4 critical shifts for reframing and centering family engagement efforts

  • Identify a next step for implementing a relationship-based approach
  • Identify and be prepared to address the challenges and underlying obstacles to partnering with families
  • Learn practical ideas, strategies and tools for integrating developmental relationships into their engagement efforts among diverse families
